Arts Alive

“Inside Dark and Light “ is an exhibition of exquisitely executed, sensitive and at times humorous exploration of a variety of subjects by local Deua River artist Keedah Throssell. Keedah, winner of the 2006 Basil Sellers Art Prize People’s Choice Award will exhibit a range of wearable art and handmade books using a diverse range of media which includes collograph, beeswax encaustics, felt silk and charcoal.

Everyone is welcome to the show at the Mechanics Institute in Page Street Moruya which opens on Monday 14 April at 6pm and is open to the public 10am till 4pm daily from Tuesday 15 until Saturday 26 April.

Basil Sellers Art Prize. Calling all artists resident in the Eurobodalla Shire area to submit art works for selection and have the opportunity to win $10,000. The winning work will be acquired into Basil Sellers private collection. The “ Framed by Tracey People’s Choice Award” for $1,000 gives you a second chance to be a winner. Aamplify!!! 9 local bands will gig at the battle-of-the-bands at Riverside Park on Saturday 12 April from 12md - 7.00pm. Theme targeting mental health issues. The Moruya markets will be on site in the
morning. Great fireworks display at 6.30 free to the public. Winner of last years Battle, Original Theft are heading the show for Youth Week 2008 (5-13 April). Have some fun and join in.
